Wealth Management

Wealth Management is an extension of Life Planning and we function as a manager of relationships. The challenge of the wealthy is complicated with financial freedom, many self-imposed obligations and the struggle to find relevance. Others are usually not sympathetic to the stress that money brings, because they assume if you have money your life is great. In short, the wealthy can have a very complicated life.

Listening - Cadre spends considerable time probing and questioning you about your values and concerns. As in life planning, people typically need coaching to discover where they might want to go and with developing their own unique vision. Often, it takes time before the Client is able to describe values, goals and a clear vision for their future. The clarification process culminates with a Family Financial Philosophy [FFP] mission statement. A FFP is a well thought out and clearly articulated mission statement which can be used as a foundation for all of your major decisions. The result is everyone on the planning team (your planner, your attorney, your accountant, your investment advisor) will be more effective.

Generalist - A generalist can pull in other professionals to manage or complete a piece of the financial planning puzzle. Investment ideas come and go and the firm with the latest “hot idea” may not be your answer. Often, families find comfort in long-term solutions, strategic thinking and slow, deliberate moves based on a Family Financial Philosophy mission statement.

Focus on Strategic Thinking - Most wealthy families have many issues to address that are critical and central to family Wealth Management. Advisors don't necessarily get paid to think about these strategic issues, thus they often don't get addressed effectively. There's little incentive for both advisor and Client to spend the time to think deeply about issues such as “How do I keep our wealth from killing our children’s ambition?” We want you to discover what you really want to accomplish and what needs to be done. Whether your goals are to use wealth to empower the next generation or give back to society, you will need an advisor that is continuously asking the questions that help you develop a focused, long-term strategy for these complex issues. We don’t want any Client or any member of the advisory team to fall into a common trap of focusing only on the short-term financial objectives instead of the fulfillment of the Client’s life objectives.

Education and Simplicity - One of our roles is to educate our Clients. Our Clients should understand most of the working parts of their financial and life plans. Therefore, we also believe Wealth Management should "err on the side of simplicity where possible." Why participate in an activity you don’t understand? Our wealthy Clients have many other things going on in their lives. Working with The Cadre Financial Group gives you more time to spend on your true passions.
